Weekend in New England

Ahhhh, I love the weekend! I’m a sucker for slow mornings with Oscar laughing at how the cats have stretched out and are hogging our teensie tiny full sized bed and then lounging around on the couch for the better part of the day drinking tea, catching up on some TV and discussing what sort of fun things we are going to do with our time.

What made this weekend extra special was an early morning text from my good friend, Liz, saying “Get your camera ready, it’s Baby Time!” which promptly bounced me out of bed squeaking with excitement and sending her ridiculous texts of “ARE YOU HAVING HER??? REALLLLLY????” and “HOLY WOWEE!!! I CAN’T WAAAAAIIIT” (which are almost the actual words I was babbling to Oscar by the way). So needless to say the weekend was full of anticipation and waiting for the little one to arrive. Liz was a trouper and didn’t end up having little Anna until the wee hours of the following morning, and after over about 30 hours of no sleep we decided that picture time would wait until tomorrow so she could rest up before I went over with my boundless excitement and camera. I hope to have some pictures up here of the little girl shortly, so stay tuned!

And in addition to it being Baby weekend, it was also Record Store Day! So on Saturday at 9am, Oscar and I were inside a packed Bullmoose snatching up deals and exclusives left and right. I am proud to say that I am now the owner of the Limited LP for Lady Gaga’s single Born This Way! This record is so sick looking that I think it needs a frame. It was limited to 5,000 in the world so I was lucky as all get out to get one!

Ok, that’s enough talk for today, lets get some pictures going of the three guys that I am I’m so lucky to be able to chill with!

Dexter “helped me” get my dresser in order by claiming to be a pair of my pajamas. Such a lovable, sweet, goober!

And Bailey decided to stake his claim over one of the hundreds of kitty scratchers (notice how the mousey’s tail/body has unraveled and the blue material is winding about?…and that little red square behind him? that also used to be a kitty scratcher that had a bouncy, fluffy toy attached…USED to. Destructo Dex killed both of ’em!). He’s so handsome, my Bailey!

And then my most favorite man of all, Oscar, who I dragged outside to get some pictures of but he just made faces for me instead. Gotta love him :)
