Little (and I mean little!) Anna was born last week and her early arrival took her mom and dad by surprise; they’ll have to be sure to teach her about being fashionably late in the future ; ) Liz was tired from her 24 plus hour delivery but Rory said there wasn’t a moment where she was in excruciating pain even though she opted to have no pain medicine. And best of all, because they had her in a Birthing Center, they got to take home their little bundle of love just a quick 6 hours after she was born!

Liz was tired after literally days of not sleeping and just running on the adrenaline high of giving birth, but she was determined to stick to our previous agreement that I would come over and take pictures as close after her birth as possible so she could always have newest of new pictures of her first born. Even though the evening was rainy and overcast and little Anna needed lots of breaks to feed, we were able to sneak in a few great shots of her for the new Mom and Dad to have as memories. So without any further ado, I present to you: Anna Morgan Carter – the tiniest little peanut!

Anna makes some of the greatest faces. And she moves her arms around like a thug; I swear she was showing me some secret gang signs throughout the evening.

Liz and Rory are both lovers of the sea so Anna’s room had lots of sea inspired decorations like this cute little seagull. People forget that we in NH are right in the ocean…ok so we only have 11 miles of beaches, but it still counts! Rory is a lobsterman and Liz is his mermaid : )

Love this shot; it’s so calming.

And this, my friends, was my favorite shot of the day. It’s divine and is dripping with awesome-ness because she is so darn cute!

And if you are feeling so inclined, you can watch this slideshow/video I put together for them. They love Bob Marley so the song screamed to be set as the background music as soon as I heard it. I shot some real quick video too that I think worked nicely with the photos – but don’t judge me on my videographer skills, I never claimed to be remotely good at it!
