Sarah + Tom Newburyport, MA Engagement Session // Massachusetts Wedding Photographer

I am loosely calling 2014, “The Year of Sarah” because I have three super fly Sarah’s booked for the wedding season (with one being a “Sara” I should specify) and because with a title like that, I feel like I am willing some amazing things to happen! Each of my Sara(h)’s next year are all having weddings that I cannot wait for for three very different reasons and first up we have Sarah + Tom!

This gorgeous Sarah was the very first bride to be that booked me for 2014, both she and Tom met while working together at Raytheon and yes, they are just as wildly smart as you would imagine someone who works at Raytheon to be! They are so very in love with one another and their little kitty too so we started out our shoot at their brand newly acquired home in Newburyport, MA so their baby could be in some pictures too. As we know, I am a sucker for animals and especially for people who love their animals so when Sarah told me about the kitty she adopted after seeing him on her lunch break a few years back, I was excited to get some pictures of his sweet face too :)

Their place is so perfectly New England with the brick walls, wood floors, exposed beams and it even has a rooftop deck that gave us a view of the changing leaves and will soon give way to a view of the ocean…jealous! :D And while we took pictures at their home, they put on some records to set the mood – ahhh! Love it!

They are an amazing couple who are so sweet with one another and they made photographing them so easy. We meandered through their new town, down to the water and weaved through the streets and record stores snapping pictures while they made each other laugh and were perfectly in love the whole evening.

And the “awkward-fest” that Sarah said to expect since they aren’t used to having the camera pointed their way? Neeeeeever happened!! Sarah, you ROCKED it and Tom, you look mighty dapper!

I look forward to their Boston wedding next year where the plans they have brewing up already make my photographer heart go wild! Sarah + Tom, if I don’t see you at our joint favorite breakfast place (let’s share a table haha!) I look forward to your wedding in May!
