The first time I met Alyson, we nerded out talking about our love for the best TV shows around (we lamented over the ending of LOST and, at the time, were excited for the Netflix season of Arrested Development to finally be released) then we chattered on about our kitties and how we love them so….and Jacob looked at us like we were aliens haha! Needless to say, we all got along perfectly from our first coffee date so I was excited when they booked me for their late September nuptials!
Their wedding was at the beautiful Rye Harbor State Park in New Hampshire where the sun shined bright (Oscar and I walked away with a late September tan) and the view was spectacular. These two planned a day that was so them and I couldn’t help but be excited to be a part of their day. The laughter from them was non-stop, seriously as you are going through their photos below, it was SO easy to get images of them smiling and laughing because that is what they did all day. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, they were enjoying themselves and the family and friends they were surrounded by. And even though Jacob was nervous about being in front of the camera, he said that the photos were much easier than he thought they were going to be – boom! photographer job done ;)
Jacob grew up in Hawaii so there were various Hawaiian themed touches during the day, with my favorites being the traditional leis instead of flowers and the sea inspired table decorations, it was so beautiful and truly a reflection of the two of them.
It was also great to work with The Wedding Belle who are wedding coordinators in my own hometown of Dover! Their team of girls were wonderful and they made sure that everything went off without a hitch.
