Maine Women Magazine Ogunquit Elopement Photographer : Heather + Barry

On the one year anniversary of Heather + Barry’s incredible sunrise elopement in Ogunquit Maine, I am finally blogging their feature in Maine Women’s Magazine!

The magazine was featuring unique wedding celebrations taking place in Maine – days that didn’t just follow traditions, but weddings that fit the uniqueness of each couple featured…sounds like the perfect spot for one of my couples for sure! Heather + Barry set against the sunrise opens the story and then a couple of pages later is the two-page spread featuring them marrying their favorite person with just me and their officiant down on the rocks by the ocean.

In case you need a refresher, you can head HERE for their full blog post detailing how we arose early when the fishermen were coming in for the day, and the streets were absolutely quiet except for the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks down below. I loved that Heather + Barry were so excited to get beautiful images that showed the perfect imperfection of what love is all about and that they were looking forward to having me be the person to catch it all.

After immediate hugs from the both of them upon meeting in person for the first time, and getting Heather into her wedding dress on the darkened pre-sunrise streets, they said their vows in front of a beautiful sunrise coming up over the ocean with brilliant oranges, purples and reds decorating the skies.

I so very love that I get to photograph these moments in a couple’s life and being invited on elopements that are always so very unique makes it all the more heartwarming and it’s so awesome that Maine Women Magazine published their day in their pages – I’m honored to have my name listed on their credits!
