What a great day for an outdoor wedding in the mountains of New England! It was early fall with a bright sunny day, a chill in the air, and a ton of love and celebration for Ariella and Hayden. While the days preceding their celebration were filled with rain and wind, they were able to sneak right in between some wild weather to kick off their forever.
The views in Vermont are always stunning and the couple took advantage of that by choosing places where family and the wedding party not only could all spend time together in cabins all nestled together, but they also had a spot where views of the rolling hills, and a lake they could sail in. The couple were a little anxious to get the wedding day started, but after they saw one another at their first look and took some pictures lakeside, the nerves dissipated for the most part and they plunged on in to the day’s celebrations.
The bright blue skies filled with the mountains off in the distance were the backdrop to their outdoor ceremony and after spending time with the two of them laughing and cuddling close to keep warm in the tree-lined path and the meadows overlooking the views, they were more than ready for the real party to get going.
And man, did it get going!
The filled barn for the reception had a small dance floor that was always packed with friends doing the limbo with a groomsman’s suspenders, a horah dance that almost toppled the couple multiple times (but didn’t, phew!), and lots of raucous dance moves, shirt ripping, and laughing! I was glad they asked me to stay a little later so we could memorialize this epic party!
What a great group of friends and family you two have, Ariella and Hayden! I’m so honored you chose me to photograph the day and I wish you two all the best!
