Sometimes this world and the life experiences it presents along the way creates incredible people who consistently do things for this world to make it better. Those people just continually outdo themselves and make the lives of their loved ones, friends, and families more joyful and full of sparks of light…and that’s where I introduce you to two such people: Erin and Logan.
With hearts so full of care for their friends and admiration of them as well, they created a space for these people to all come crashing together on their wedding day where old friends united for the weekend and new friends were made at campfires and swims in the cold lake water of Maine in the fall.
They started the weekend with a costume party for guests that fit their Saturday before Halloween wedding day at Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake, and from there it was use of the entire property to share the celebration with people from all over the country to collect in close and revel in the last warm days of the year.
Togetherness seemed to be the unofficial theme and they did everything they could to make sure people felt the abundant love and genuine excitement they had for each and every guest. From their sweet daughter and pup all the way to the significant others of friends that they had only just met – everyone (everyone!) enjoyed the festivities and care these two wonderful people have for them.
And you know what, they sure made me feel that love and care too! Always quick to check on me and make sure I was good to go, they truly made me feel like a guest in their home too.
Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake in Maine is a stunning place to hold a wedding weekend and this time was certainly no different. With the two of them being the adventurous types, they didn’t put up a fight when I’d ask them to get ready out in the bright sunny fresh air or when the videographer and I asked if they’d climb out on the rocks for some photos – they were down for whatever!
There is also the added extra bonus of being new parents, which if you know me, you KNOW I love to photograph Moms of young children on their wedding day. It’s an interesting niche that I’ve found really speaks to my heart and man, there is just something so special about Moms on their wedding day. And now I have Erin to add to the list of incredible women I’ve photographed weddings for and I couldn’t have been happier to be by her and Logan’s side photographing it all.
Their laid-back approach to the day, the emotions that they shared toward one another and their guests, and their ability to make everything around them shine so brightly made for an excellent late fall celebration in Maine.
Thank you, Erin and Logan, for inviting me along. I loved having your day be my last of the year because it sure left me on a high note for the 2022 season!
One last note! Logan’s brother had the most creative and endearing toast that should most definitely be turned into a short story to be shared amongst the family. I was floored at how well it rhymed, the story it told, and the love it was filled with. Absolutely incredible.
