Inn By The Sea Wedding in Cape Elizabeth Maine for Katie + Patrick

Wow, what a beautiful spot Inn By The Sea in Cape Elizabeth Maine is. I can’t believe I’ve never gotten the chance to work here before but it’s absolutely wonderful – including their coordinating team which were attentive and supportive to Katie and Patrick and were also fabulous to me too.

And talk about views – this is another one of those spots that offers a feeling of being away from the world with the ocean peeking right above the wildflower filled overlook that the Inn sits on the edge of. And there’s a wooden walkway that leads you all the way through the secret garden feel with its arches of green to the soft sandy beach that is an absolute dream. It was the perfect spot to run off to with the newlyweds after the ceremony for some dancing on the sand and moments away from the hustle of the day.

Katie and Patrick’s families are based in the midwest and as a midwest girl myself, I completely understood all of the ooo’s and ahh’s I heard all afternoon long from everyone who couldn’t get enough of all that Maine offers. And they certainly got a wide range of what coastal Maine can offer with spots of bright warm sun mixed right in with overcast skies and low laying fog in the distance.

After cutting into a cake that broke the knife (I think the cake had a little chill in it since we’ve had some really hot summer days here so to keep it from melting, it was still a little solid) which brought out the laughter from the couple we did some additional photos of them as the sun went down in the distance in a nearby field. It was a great quick escape that Inn By the Sea offers!

Katie and Patrick, your day was so beautiful and I loved all of the laughter you two share whenever you’re in one another’s arms. I hope you enjoyed sharing Maine with your friends and family and I know the future has exciting things coming for you two! Thank you for having me be a small part of your day.
