Day FOURTEEN // We’re married!

On August 11th, one month ago today, I married my very best friend on the outer rung of a private lighthouse overlooking the sea. We were joined only by our phenomenal photographer, Janeen (based in Berkley, California and is also a dear friend of mine) and our officiant Danielle, Janeen’s wonderful girlfriend, who created an incredible ceremony for the two of us.

From the moment Danielle began to speak, my tears started to flow and when it came time for Oscar and I to read what we privately wrote for one another, we both became a huge mess of tears – I loved every second of it! The entire day was more beautiful and more meaningful than I could have ever imagined it would be and I definitely felt different somehow afterwards. I can’t pinpoint why and it may seem silly, but I just felt deep in my heart that we were now more connected to one another and it cemented the fact that I truly had this amazing partner to enjoy life with. I get a thrill each time I look at his hand and see his wedding band wrapped around his finger; I am so overjoyed to have found him.

Thank you again to Janeen and Danielle; we chose so wisely when we asked you both to be a key part in our day and we are so pleased that you two will always be a huge part of our wedding memories. We love you both so very much.
