Barrington, New Hampshire Family Photos

I’m back again with one of my favorite families! First was their elopement in New Castle, New Hampshire, then it was photos of their newborn son at their home in Barrington, NH, and now it’s the first birthday party for Jayden!

Photographing Amy is basically a hobby that I love, and getting invited again to photograph her and Clifton with their cute kids is such an honor. For Jayden’s birthday in April, he had a bright sunshiny day so we could hang out on their screened-in porch for some napping, nursing, and clapping (those might be his favorite things after you count people) for a while before heading in to sing birthday songs to him while he smashed his very own birthday cake.

Jayden is a dream, just like his parents. His big soulful eyes are wonderfully wary of a new person entering which meant some side-eyes while he was awake and then after his nap, I was kind of like an old friend who he warmed up to. I felt like the cool kid at the party getting his acceptance and having him clap for me after he’d do something sweet.

They know I work best when I’m just capturing whatever is going on in their lives at this time and they just ease into me being behind the camera so effortlessly each time that it makes my job even more enjoyable with every visit.

With a playlist of music softly filling the porch, just enough wind to move Amy’s hair softly while she rested on the couch with her youngest child, and snacks galore among family and friends, it was a great celebration for a young child who is growing up in a very loving, calm, and cool family. He’s lucky to get to call his siblings and parents his very own and they’re lucky as well!

I love getting to see my couples as they move along life’s journey and then photographing the different stages of life they experience and Amy and Clifton are two people I hope to always get the chance to catch up with as the years go by.
