Michelle and I go way back. Like waaaaaaay back. She’s the little sister I never had and she is a cool as hell girl who also just so happens to be graduating high school this year and of course I was excited to take her senior pictures!
I told her to choose a place that meant a great deal to her and when coming up with ideas, I suggested the lake her family lives on where she has spent summers for as long as she can remember and that indeed was where we went! Of course the day we set aside took place during the great heat wave of 2011, yeah that one so even though it was late in the evening and we were under the blanket of the trees, it was still ridiiiiicuolously hot hot hot! But Michelle was awesome and had a great time with it and we got some pretty cool shots of her. Thanks for having me over, Michelle, I loved taking your photo.

Michelle is a genuinely happy girl who is always laughing and joking around so I love that I caught this “in between moment” of her.
