York Maine Wedding Photographer : Sarah + Marty

This Maine wedding of two people desperately in love with one another was SUCH a great day to be a part of. Their daughters brought them together by being swimming friends at the local pool and eventually introduced Marty and Sarah to one another where sparks began to fly and the call of wedding bells followed close behind.

These two people are so in love with each other. SERIOUSLY in love. They smiled from the get go, had nothing but complete adoration for each other and truly felt that they were marrying the person they were destined to be with.

Added bonus: their families couldn’t have agreed more! I have never seen such pure happiness on both sides of the family for a wedded couple and I could not get enough of their three awesome daughters who added tons of laughter (and sweet dance moves) to the day. With the three of them never wanting to be too far from Sarah and Marty it meant I got to be around them for the whole day too, and I loved it.

After a first look in a packed Fort Foster Park in Kittery, Maine (where we did manage to find a coastal view without swimmers or grilling families in the view – woo!) we went along the dock hanging way out into the ocean with views of Portsmouth and the great blue sea and then returned for the ceremony and reception at York Golf & Tennis Club which was the perfect backdrop for their day.

I loved the laid back atmosphere of their wedding where love was 100% the focus of the celebration and even when tiny glitches happened, it didn’t phase the couple one bit. In fact they would just laugh it off (like the time Sarah forgot the rings at the hair salon). Nothing would change the fact that these two were going to be professing their love for one another and their girls were going to officially be sisters!

Thank you, Sarah V (yup, she is a Sarah V too!!), Marty and your amazing daughters and family for inviting me along for your day. I loved each moment and I wish you all the best!
