When I hung out with Lori + Rich at their engagement session up in the White Mountains I couldn’t believe just how easily these two fell into one another’s arms from the first click of the camera. Even I, as a photographer who knows how this show goes, turn into a weirdo when a camera faces my way, but not these two.
There was no needing to warm up, no concerns about what to do with their hands or how to stand – they just instantly knew how to hold one another so that their love shined out without a single word needing to be spoken. Being close to one another and exuding pure joy comes 100% naturally with them.
And when I met up with these two 8 months later for their wedding, that exact display of love and genuine admiration hadn’t faded one bit. In fact, I think it may have doubled. Everyone around them seemed to feel the exact same way including their three beautiful daughters who I couldn’t get enough of!
I photographed the wedding of Lori’s niece + nephew, Sarah + Nate, up in Bar Harbor, Maine a couple years ago (which began my obsession with Bar Harbor!) and it was the extreme compliment that Lori said as soon as she and Rich were engaged, she knew who she wanted to have photograph their wedding – me! Their family is so sweet and it was great to be reunited with them again at yet another beautiful wedding! Sarah + Nate had me tearing up when they arrived with their adorable little boy, it was so great to see and hug them all!
And Stone Mountain Arts Center is SO COOL! I love all of the vintage touches, the rustic feel, the inviting color palettes and most importantly, their incredible staff. The wedding coordinator at Stone Mountain, Hannah, is an absolute dream and everything she does, she puts her entire heart into. She and the rest of the team made the day run so smoothly -they were nothing short of perfection. And the food? Ohhhhh it was sooooo good!!
From gorgeous flowers (peonies and eucalyptus! two of my favorites!), to beautiful handmade signs and decorations courtesy of Lori + Rich this day was not only candy for the heart, but also candy for the eyes.
I send so much love to you, Lori + Rich, your day was incredible and your daughters are the best!
