Sheridan and Kyle married one another on one of the last super nice weeks before the heat wave settled into the Northeast. Their wedding featured spectacular views of the ocean at Southern Maine Community College, bright blue skies, warm sun, and Willard Beach to run around on after they were wed.
I met the two of them at their engagement session on a stormy day up at Mount Agamenticus but I’d already known a ton about them since my best friend and her husband are sister-in-law/sibling to the groom! So getting to work with them and photograph the engagement and their wedding celebration was like an extra special treat – with a large dash of extra pressure to not mess anything up haha!
Sheridan got ready with her mom where she prepped for saying her vows, sent last-minute Cameo videos to Kyle as a special surprise, and felt the butterflies bubble up while she put on her jewelry and saw her father for the first time of the day.
Kyle’s room was a bustle of energy with my besties Kate and Tony putting on their usual show of hysterical antics that I love while Kyle and I laughed and his soon-to-be father-in-law helped him put on the finishing details of his suit.
The ceremony was gorgeous with views of the water, love letter vows, and an enthusiastic petal toss that sent them back up the aisle after they were officially wed! After some quick photos out on Willard Beach where a passerby reflected with them on his wedding day in the same spot with photos down on the beach, they climbed up on the rocks for some pictures we hustled back to the reception at North 43 Bistro for toasts, dancing, dinner and a sunset overlooking the marina.
What a wonderful weekday wedding with these two and their families, I’m so happy I got to photograph it all and I wish you two all the best!
