It took us a few date changes and a change in location but Sheridan, Kyle, and I finally met up at Mount Agamenticus in York Maine for their engagement session and the wait was worth it!
The weather was a little stormy (this season has been full of a lot of stormy days) you know I love a good stormy sky with some heavy clouds that saturate the colors all around so once those skies rolled in, I was pleased as punch.
We walked around and took in the views that only a place on the seacoast can provide with a direct line of sight to the ocean and then if you do a 180 you get a direct line of sight of the great White Mountains. In between all of that? Gorgeous rolling hills of trees that are blunted quickly by those incredible natural markers.
Sheridan + Kyle were nervous to be in front of the camera (as a lot of my couples tend to be!) but once we got a few camera clicks behind us they eased into it and we were rolling!
The two of them found me because two of my very closest friends, Kate and Tony, are related to Kyle with him being the brother to Tony! Having a photographer (Kate) whose work you admire the hell out of AND who you love like you love air send someone your way shows a lot of trust and faith so it’s a massive honor to photograph their wedding next June.
It also means that I get to meet more of Tony’s family which makes me more excited than I can explain! Tony is a a million person who has stories for days and I feel like I already know some of the key players in the family so meeting them will alllllmost be like meeting book characters who’ve come to life before your eyes. I’ll try to keep my cool but it might be hard ;)
Getting to know Sheridan + Kyle was a great primer to what their wedding day will be like and I know between me being the weirdo that I naturally am that in turn had them laughing and showing their weirdo fun sides too, we’ll have a grand ole time.
So while the sun went down faster than planned due to those looming dark skies, we still packed in lots of pictures with the scenery that Mount Agamenticus offers and still be past the chained entry before they locked us in for the night; and now I’m excited to share my favorites from our time together.
Sheridan + Kyle, get ready because 2022 is going to be a blast!
