Philadelphia Wedding in February for Katelyn + Tyler!

Katelyn + Tyler are going to be laughing with their entire bodies more than anything else on any given day and since they both have huge personalities and are pretty damn funny themselves, you’re almost certain to be doubled over a lot when you’re around them as well!

I’ve known Tyler for a couple of years and he became a regular at our summer backyard fires (remember that time you proceeded to rip one of the arms off of an Adirondack chair when simulating airplane turbulence, Tyler? #neverforget) and then one fall day we invited him over and he brought this girl he started dating who we could tell he was suuuuuper into.

She was full of the same energy as him, could match his sarcasm like nobody’s business, and had us laughing at her awesome jokes at Tyler’s expense :) – we were sold on her almost as much as Tyler was from the get-go.

Side note, when Oscar and I met her we were both thinking that these two seemed to know each other pretty well for only dating for a few months but then it all made sense when we found out that this was actually their SECOND round of dating because the first time around Tyler ghosted Katelyn after dating for a while. After coming to his senses a couple of years later, he reconnected with her and thankfully Katelyn was willing to give it another shot. Ohhhh Tyler!

So last summer Tyler surprised Katelyn with a proposal and then shortly thereafter I did their engagement session and they planned in record time a wedding in Philadelphia at King’s Mills to celebrate with family and friends close to where they both grew up.

And their main goal for the day: have FUN. And they definitely did that!

Dancing and shotgunning beers while getting ready, laughing (and a few happy tears) during the ceremony, and then insane amounts of jokes, stories and mean-mugging on the dance floor were what filled their day. As you look through the pictures, you’ll definitely feel the love, but what I think you’ll feel the most is the joy.

Joy in being with their best friend forever, joy in the people they’ve surrounded themselves with, joy in the moments and the time they share with all of the people who are lucky to be a part of their world.

It was such a great celebration to be a part of and I loved the non-stop smiles that were on their faces even when shuttles of guests were delaying the ceremony or when other little speedbumps popped up – they both were just so glad that the day finally arrived where they went from ghosting to toasting :)
