From the first time I met Kara + Gwynne, I was taken with their clear love and affection with one another. I even remarked how I loved that they held hands at the table where we were meeting and often looked lovingly at one another throughout our hour or so together. And just as it was on that day I met them, their wedding was filled with the same amount of careful and sweet love.
This was the first wedding for me that was an early one with a brunch for the guests instead of a dinner and I have to say that I loved it! It almost added a sense of calm to the day to have the ceremony and vows exchanged all before 11am. Their wedding featured beach items galore and their location of the Seaglass in Salisbury, MA could not have been a better location for this type of wedding. The restaurant is quite literally right on the beach so that when you look out the massive windows, it seems as though you are floating on the water. And even though the weather was threatening rain, it never did and instead we had the photographer’s ideal situation of overcast skies that created the perfect soft box for the light.
There were sweet surprises throughout the morning including their first dance which was a professionally recorded version of “Feels Like Home” that Kara beautifully sang for her wife and Kara’s father passing her a a rock engraved with “Daddy’s little girl” on it when he took her hand for the father daughter dance – heart strings = officially tugged!! Such a wonderful wedding filled with equally wonderful family and friends.
