Downtown Bar Harbor Maine Wedding for Kelly + Dan

Kelly + Dan married in mid-October in one of the best places in the world: Bar Harbor Maine! Although the day was chilly with some wind and overcast skies, they were still able to get married outside on the lush lawn at The Bar Harbor Club before the rain came through.

The couple has been busy not only with the pandemic throwing wrench after wrench into plans, but also because they were wrapping up medical school and residencies as well as making a giant move to New York City to grow their careers. I can’t imagine doing all of that and planning a destination wedding, let alone throwing in a pandemic but these two were troopers and managed to do it all and enjoy the day to its fullest with a fully vaccinated wedding guest list to boot.

And when you’re celebrating up in Bar Harbor where the water views are just about everywhere you turn and visits to Acadia National Park are just a short ways away, what’s not to love?!

After a blustery ceremony that quite a few times sent Kelly’s long cathedral length veil flying (and promptly sent her into fits of laughter as a result!) we took a quick walk downtown and to beautiful Agamont Park in downtown Bar Harbor for some quick photos before the chill got to great and it was time to send them back to the reception to warm up, have some delicious food, cut the cake and then cut up the dance floor late into the night with family and friends.

And I can’t forget their pup Otis who joined them on the day and voiced his opinion about not being able to sit right next to mom and dad while they said their vows. I love it when couples include their furry children on the wedding day, especially when they’re as funny as Otis.

It was a beautiful day with a great group of vendors supporting them every step of the way and I’m excited to share my favorite images from their day!
