Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine – I’m getting to know everything there is to know about you and I don’t mind it one bit. And elopements (and small weddings!) – we already know what my heart feels about you! Love ’em to bits.
Kaylyn + Erin, who just overflow with a beautiful laughter filled love, dreamt of an Ogunquit small wedding celebration after seeing pictures from a wedding I’d photographed the year prior. So with just their immediate family and right before spring turned to summer we combined Kaylyn’s memories of Maine and my knowledge of cool little spots to go to and made it happen!
The ocean breeze was welcomed as the early day ceremony had bright sun with hardly a single cloud in the sky so it was a little toasty out there! A ceremony from one of my favorites (Erika, you know I love you!) full of heartfelt words and meaningful declarations of devotion and dedication from the family that loves the couple dearly, the two of them sealed the commitment with the crashing waters just feet away.
After sneaking in some family pictures before the rising tide pushed us out, we went for a walk among the rocks for pictures of the newlyweds and a good dose of laughter and fun from the stars of the day before wrapping it up with a champagne toast and breakfast foods galore at the home.
What a way to spend the morning and what a day to officially become married. Erin + Kaylyn, I wish you two all the best!
