My Birthday Boys!

Two of my most favorites had their birthday this month. One is very furry, likes to be kissed but hates to be pet anywhere but the head, is very needy, and alllllways a love….and the other is my cat Bailey! Har har, sorry I had to do that lame cornball joke; my father’s genes are too powerful to overcome in these cases!

But seriously, my Mr. Man, the lovable and always delightful cat, Bailey-Boo Radley turned 16 this weekend! 16!! My oh my, what a gorgeous man he is! He’s my shadow, my companion, my sleeping buddy and the first little love to be “mine”. If you know me personally, you know that I claim to not only have given birth to him, but that he is also my husband (if we were on Facebook, our relationship status would most certainly be “it’s complicated”) but most of all, he’s my friend. We’ve been through a lot, that little man and I, and we have seen a great deal of this country side by side and I couldn’t have asked for a better gift when my Momma rescued him for me. Happy birthday, little cupcake, your Mom/Wife loves you to bits.

And then there is THE man. The man I will call my husband this year!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OSCAR!!! Oh me oh my how I love this apple pie! From his insane ideas (he recently locked a window after realizing a spider was on the other side – heaven forbid it learned to lift a window and get in, that was NOT going to happen on O’s watch!) to his absolutely, gut-wrenchingly awesome support of me – I love every part of him. He knows me, he gets me, he loves me and I am better for it. He dances for me in public (making sure that I am going to be the only one to capture this genius-ness), he showers me with love, he makes me laugh so hard I snort on the daily and he makes my time here on Earth that much more enjoyable. We have a big year coming up and we have decided that 2012 will be an amazing departure from the hectic 2011 – and I have to say, so far so good! I love you, my gorgeous (soon to be) husband. Happy birthday!
