Rockport + Camden Maine Wedding Photographer : Kat + Nate

Kat + Nate are two people whose love affair with the sea is only topped by the one they have with one another. Kat was raised listening to the Atlantic hitting the shores outside her windows and Nate found his passion leading him to a career aboard the very vessels that could’ve been passing by her home. They are both kind, loving, caring, funny, and man oh man, they were both so happy to get married!

They wanted the day to be easy, no stuffiness or anything unnatural to who they are as a couple and most importantly, they wanted to share the day with their lovable and totally squeezable pup, Odin. Odin played center stage from the moment we arrived to the moment we left for the reception and if you look closely in most of the pictures from that part of the day, he is right there with them. To me, that is one of the surest signs of a good person, the love and adoration that they have for their pet and the return of the very same love. These three have that goodness times a million.

The nautical theme played through each space of the day from the signal flags hung, to the wedding bands that were both made to look like nautical rope knots wrapped in gold, to the decorations that naturally filled the walls of the home. I loved it! And the view that opens up in the back of the family home in Rockport, Maine to the ocean? UNBELIEVABLE. A rocky coast like only Maine can do.

With a first look in the family barn (love that this was the place that spoke to her as the best spot to do it), a confirming of love by the sea, and a party where their closest friends sang 90’s hits at full strength while they ate dinner amongst one another, this was a beautiful day to be a part of.
