New Hampshire Wedding Photographer Kimball Jenkin’s Estate : Kara + Luke

Kara + Luke had a wedding that could renew anyone’s faith in happiness if they felt they had previously lost it. Luke was an excited ball of energy when we started the day with him at the Kimball Jenkin’s Estate and acted just the way I have grown to know him to be: funny, sarcastic, ready for a good time and looking forward to marrying his girl. With some old school Nirvana playing in the background, he, his family and the groomsmen had a special toast to get the day started off right.

Kara, a girl who is as gentle and sweet as the day is long was her cute self up in the bridal suite surrounded by her parents, cousin and best friends. It was non-stop smiles from everyone in the room and Kara was so laid back and just wanting to share every minute with those close to her. Her energy is such that the room was filled with a feeling of ease – which is a lot to say for a girl getting ready to marry the man of her dreams!

The wedding went off without a hitch, and I loved that Luke was constantly showering Kara with hugs, kisses and loving glances. From the toasts that had me cracking up to Kara’s lively dance with her father that was clearly something they just enjoy doing with one another – which made me tear up because of the love between them – the night was perfect.

Luke’s brother Matt said in his speech that the first time he knew Kara and Luke were in love was when he saw them slow dancing and looking all starry eyed at one another to a Bright Eyes song and he commented on how Bright Eyes is one of the most depressing bands ever and yet they STILL managed to make it romantic, I think I fell in love with them more too. Bright Eyes is totally depressing….and awesome! :)

Before we left, Kara insisted that we take a piece of cake with us (something we usually don’t do because we feel odd doing it, but if you twist our arm…YAY! CAKE!) and MAN OH MAN, that cake was good! It is no surprise to see that it was made by Jacque’s because their cake is always delicious! Yum, yum, yum!

It was a wonderful day and Oscar + I were so happy to be a part of it. I wish you two all the best!
