Thanksgiving in the Woods

Thanksgiving always was and still is one of my favorite holidays. The amazing food (Tofurky for me…and yes, you read that right), the family, the after dinner games, the chill in the air… And when I was little it was especially awesome because we always made the 1.5 hour car ride to my cousin’s house and had dinner there. The six of us kids were sent to the ginormous playroom they had and were under strict rules to not come out, hahaha! But we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. We made up new games, fought over who cheated at Pictionary and battled it out on the Super Nintendo.

This year Oscar and I went to Heidi’s house in the woods of Maine to have our “Misfit Thanksgiving” and I have to say it is one of my favorite ones since I was little. I, personally, am so thankful for the great friends in my life.
