The pancake below looks good, right? If that was delivered to your table, you’d be happy, right? Not me. You see, I’m a creature of habit and I don’t really care for breakfast. I know, sin of all sins. Actually, I like the ritual of getting up on a weekend and going to breakfast with family or friends, but the food itself is never too exciting for me. I don’t like eggs, pancakes and waffles are just too sweet for me in the morning, and french toast is yick – so what I usually end up doing is getting home fries, toast and tea and calling it a day.
That was until I found The Big Bean in Newmarket, NH. Ohhhh man, they changed the game.
They serve what is called “Señor Homies” and it’s a bowl full of home fries cooked to perfection with homemade salsa, black beans, peppers, onions, cheese, sour cream and avocado. JACKPOT!!! Every weekend we go, that is what I get. Every single time. So imagine my horror when they told me it would be about a 35 minute wait because they had a run on potatoes and the ones that were cooking wouldn’t be ready until then. HORROR!!!! I figured this was bound to happen, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be today. We had places to be //and people to see// so we couldn’t wait, hence the pancake. And queue Oscar actually LAUGHING when they said I couldn’t order them…jerk ;)
Pancake was ok, but it was no Señor Homies. Le sigh! I will fight that war again next week and I shall conquer!!

You should’ve put a warning on this post “do not read unless you’ve already eaten!” All of what you were describing sounds super good and now I’m hungry! Lol! ;)
Hahaha! Sorry, Veronica!
