High school senior portrait sessions are an absolute blast for me to shoot. One of my past jobs was working at an inner city high school in San Diego mentoring and tutoring kids who were excited for college and what would be happening next after high school was completed. I loved their energy, stories, laughter and personalities and I’ve always found that I get along well with this age group and so it’s awwwweeeesssoooommmme that I still get to interact with them, only now it is through my photography!
The beautiful Nicole that I photographed last week was nothing short of wonderful. We had fun laughing, being shocked at the people who just walked into the freezing cold water and sliding around on the rocks in New Castle, NH. Her session was last week during the middle of a MASSIVE heat wave where temperatures sat at the edge of the 100’s and the humidity was insane – but BUT the night we chose to do photos somehow magically dropped from the oppressive temperatures to a nice cool, comfortable, perfect evening.
Girls like Nicole are the exact reason why I feel so lucky to do the job I do; I loved her warm, easy going personality and I had a lot of fun laughing with her and getting to know more about her plans for next year. Plus, she’s gorgeous and has some great style – bonus!
Enjoy your pictures, Nicole! It was great meeting you and I wish you all the best in your last year of high school!
