Spruce Point Inn Resort Intimate Wedding in Boothbay Harbor Maine: Vanessa + Chip

Vanessa and Chip had one of the most beautifully classic intimate weddings at Spruce Point Inn Resort in Boothbay Harbor Maine. From the deeply intricate beadwork on her custom wedding gown, the mid-century decor of the Clover Room for the celebratory dinner in front of the setting sun, and the quiet vows spoken in front of their immediate family while the end of summer water lapped against the shore behind them – it was beautiful.

Her brother Cavanaugh was by her side all morning and helped us as the couple met for the first time in the wooded path of Spruce Point. He spoke eloquently during their ceremony as the parents of the couple smiled in admiration at the joining of the newlyweds.

Boothbay Harbor Maine is a place where Chip’s family visited for many years, so there were roots to this peaceful edge of the beautiful state of Maine. And just like they’ve found, this is a place that I feel to be so peaceful and a place where I find a great sense of calm. It’s an ideal location for a wedding!

And while the weather was a little cold which made for rosy cheeks and holding each other close to keep warm, the overabundance of sunlight made up for it! They even got to celebrate with their two pups who were dressed for the affair too.

After the first look on the wooded pathways of Spruce Point, a beautiful ceremony on the great lawn, photos quickly out on the rocks and dock while the sun fell fast, and some pictures just before they sat for dinner together, I headed out into the night and left them to celebrating and toasts from family who celebrated from afar via Zoom.
