Danielle reached out to me just as we were heading into the holidays with Thanksgiving on the near distant horizon. She and Brian were looking to elope, and they wanted to make sure that the day was filled to the brim with gestures of love and reminders of when they first began to fall for one another. We planned out for me to spend 3 hours with them so I arrived at the Sheraton in Portsmouth where they booked a townhouse suite overlooking the water to begin photographing the start of the days excitement.
“I want this day to be simply about the two of us and the starting of our lives. We are very in love and it’s just important that our wedding day is our kind of romantic.” – Danielle
And that, my friends, is exactly what it was. They were married alongside the water in Prescott Park at the spot where they shared their first kiss; only this time the celebration was with 8 of their closest family while the skies sprinkled snowflakes that made the world look like one gorgeous snow globe. After their vows were sealed with a kiss and we photographed them with their families on the docks leading out to the Atlantic, the family headed to the restaurant for dinner and we meandered through the empty park for some pictures. I have never photographed a December wedding and I can happily say that this one was most definitely worth the wait for me. An elopement! On the water! With an awesome couple!
It was perfect, it was romantic, it was fun, and it most importantly was them.
We ended our quick three hours by meeting up with the family at Portsmouth Gas Light (which is where Danielle + Brian had their first date – love it!) and Danielle and I squeezed each other a couple of tight hugs before I left them to celebrate and bask in newlywed love.
Thank you for bringing me into your circle of family and allowing me to photograph your wedding – it was everything and more! Love you guys!
Poppin’ bottles!
One brief tear of happiness <3

These are wonderful photos Sarah. They captured the “feel” of the day for certain.
Even though there was snow falling during the ceremony the band played ,on so to speak!! The bride and groom show nothing but sheer joy and love for one another and others that shared the “day” with them. As I am known to say when I am thrilled with …. whatever it may be…. Good Job…. very Good Job.
