Dover, New Hampshire City Hall Elopement : Amber + Stephen

On a windy but bright Friday afternoon in October, Amber + Stephen met up at the Dover, New Hampshire City Hall with their trusty four legged best friend, Blue, and their immediate family to tie the knot in the most laid back and wonderful of ways! It’s no secret that I am in love with elopements and it makes me so happy when people reach out to me for them. So excited that even though I originally was planning on taking the day off since it was the day after my birthday and I’d had a busy couple of months, that when Amber told me about her desire to have a low key wedding where their love was the center of attention, I couldn’t pass it up. And I’m so happy I didn’t!

Their families were so excited for the two of them and there wasn’t a breath of stress or worry and when I got to take Amber, Stephen + Blue on a walk around downtown Dover, the time flew past because it was so easy to be with them and bask in the just married moments.

I love that they wanted to share the day with their beautiful dog, Blue and I always say that people who love their animals are people that I can almost instantly trust – these two were no exception and their excitement when the Dover City Hall told them they could bring him upstairs for the ceremony was so cool! Not everyone gets to share that special moment with their little furry kids so I love that they got to.

Amber initially wanted to do the ceremony outside but with the wind picking up, she opted for staying inside, so after the ceremony we ventured over to the auditorium (a favorite room of mine in the building!) and took some pictures of the family and then we spent the next hour getting photos of just the married couple.

Stephen thought I wrote the “Always & Forever” on the wall earlier in the day in preparation for them getting there, but I hadn’t! I’m good, but not that good ;) It was a great surprise we took advantage of though!
