Dover, New Hampshire Wedding Photographer // Dorrie + Josh

From the first moment I met Dorrie, I knew there was a match made in heaven…in she and I! Same interests in music? Check! Same love for amazing TV shows? Check! Same goofball attitude of awesome-ness? Check! Check! Check! She and I were on the same page from day one and I have been really looking forward to her wedding since last year. I didn’t get the chance to meet her sweet (now) husband until the day of the wedding because the couple lives in Southern California and he wasn’t able to come out for the wedding scouting, but from the way Dorrie described him, I knew we’d get along fabulously – and we did. Check!!

The day was one of the hottest ones yet of the season with temperatures pushing the high 90’s and tons of humidity in the air, but that didn’t dampen the spirits for a wonderful outdoor wedding in the beautiful gardens of her parent’s home. Since her parents have their own landscaping business, it was no massive task for them to not only have gardens galore, but also for them to build a customized alter complete with a fountain for the couple to say their vows to one another on. Gorgeous!

Dorrie beamed her beautiful smile all night long (seriously, her smile lights up a room) and she and Josh had a wonderful time celebrating with the friends and family that joined them from all over the country. Oh! And the vendor meal from The Chef’s Table was DELISH!! This little vegetarian was in heaven with the amazing meal; and from what everyone else was saying, the rest of the meals were just as great. Definite recommendation there!

There was serious family love here from Dorrie’s mom making the insanely awesome FIVE cakes after learning how to make frosting flowers only months ago, to aunts helping create and set up decorations, to her sister who saved the day when the DJ’s power blew out just as the first dance was supposed to happen by telling the onlooking guests a long and purposely uncomfortable joke that set the mood juuuust right.

And my second shooter for the day was the ever amazing (+gorgeous!) CiCi from CCK Photography who helped me more than words can describe. By the end of the night, I was basically proposing to her! It was so much fun to have her by my side on a wedding I was so pumped to attend.

Dorrie, I love you like a sista and I am so excited for you and Josh’s future together. And Josh, you are so dang awesome! All the best to the both of you!
