Day 3 // “You Should Blog About That…”

We are having people over tomorrow for a lil celebrating and the yard needed some cleaning up, so last night Oscar went to TOWN on it. I did some work inside the house and weeding of our back patio area and at one point Oscar came inside to get a drink of water and asked me if I had seen how nice the lawn looked now and then he said, “You should blog about that.”

I snorted.

And then I got a brilliant idea that meant I could take a picture of his fantastical work AND make a photo that I have been meaning to do for a while now. So I took my camera outside and tried out a camera technique I haven’t done before so that I can spice up this 30 day challenge some!

This was my FIRST attempt at the amazing Brenizer Method thought up by the insanely great Ryan Brenizer. It involves taking a bunch of photos at a really low aperture with the focus locked so that your focus is the same for each photo //I used my 50mm 1.4 to take this and I had it set at 1.4// and then stitching them together to create AMAZELINGNESS! What it creates is a super clear, almost hyper realistic photo that if you were able to take it with one picture, the lens would have to be a beast //and probably worth more than your soul//.

So here was the first attempt, which looked cool and stitched itself together super nicely //note Oscar working away in the picture? It’s like Where’s Waldo// but you can’t REALLY tell the difference here unless you are a photographer. So I wanted to do onnnne more.

So I told Oscar to get into the picture and hold super still to create this one. And this one came out cool! Now, this one didn’t stitch together as well because I missed some spots when I was doing all of the photos //you’ll see that in the blank spots where it is just white// but still. STILL!
