When you’ve been through a lot of both wonderful and trying experiences as a couple, you tend to not let anything that would resemble an obstacle interfere with the love you have for one another. So while the arrival of foggy weather along the coast of the Atlantic where you planned to marry your love may have crumbled some people’s excitement, it actually did the opposite for Tara Jo + Dan who welcomed not having to roast in the morning sunshine and said, “well, the weather isn’t going to stop us getting married and we certainly can’t control it so we’re good to go!”

And good to go they were!

The relished in the soft blanket of fog that covered a sleepy Portsmouth, New Hampshire as they woke up for their wedding day. Tara Jo talked of a great start to her getting ready after a visit to the girls at Oomph Salon (they ALWAYS take care of my girls so I’m always happy to refer people their way for some great hair!) and her short walk back to the The Hotel Portsmouth where they got ready and met up for a quick first look in the hotel’s library.

Tara Jo was in full fits of laughter mode and Dan, although the more quiet and reserved of the pair, definitely had a smile that he couldn’t contain as we headed out to Rye, New Hampshire to the spot along the ocean where they’d be married.

The skies had a soft mist to them, and the ocean provided crashing waves as background music while their officiant welcomed them into the latest and greatest chapter of their lives: married couple, parents to sweet Julius – their rescue pup :)

After it was officially official, the couple didn’t even need a quick jump into the Seacoast Science Center to freshen up or warm up a little before we moved into pictures, instead they wandered off over the rocky shores all the while laughing and exchanging stories and jokes beneath the softly lit sky.

Our time together was wonderful and from standing on rock walls, to getting down near the ocean’s edge, they never once had a care in the world other than making sure they were with one another. I absolutely LOVE wedding days like this where we adventure out, spend some time getting some photos, and no matter what, we just have a great time celebrating them becoming a married couple.

Tara Jo + Dan, I had such a great morning with you two and I hope it was all that you hoped it would be! I wish you all the best!
