Wentworth By the Sea Portsmouth New Hampshire Wedding Photographer : Katherine + Cliff

Katherine + Cliff love being outdoors and are especially fond of the ocean, so when they decided on a ceremony in Portsmouth, NH with a reception and photos at Wentworth By the Sea in New Castle, nothing could have been more perfect for them!

Since they live in Tennessee right now, I didn’t get a chance to meet them in person before the wedding day but when I ran into Katherine as she was coming inside from her hair + makeup appointment I was so excited to put a beautiful face to the name.

You’re beautiful, Katherine. So there! She claims to not be photogenic but I beg to differ with that entirely. Her bright blue eyes and dark brown hair (a combination I have ALWAYS been envious of) positively lights up the room. Photographing the two of them alongside the ocean was a highlight of the day, we had fun laughing with one another and venturing out on the docks for photos with their favorite ocean as a backdrop.

We started our day with the guys who were hanging out, eating some food and Googling how to tie a bow tie, of course. They were laid back and Cliff didn’t have one air of tension about getting the show on the road. After that, we headed to the girls as they hustled around steaming dresses and playing around with her cute nephews while dancing to music – and again, Katherine was as cool as a cucumber.

With weather that was an absolute delight we moved through the day effortlessly with Katherine + Cliff being showered with love and adoration from their nearest and dearest. You can tell that these two are so important to those that love them dearly, and I can definitely see why.

Thank you both for bringing me along on your wedding day adventure, I hope it was a day you guys will enjoy reliving for many many years to come! I wish you all the very best!
