Linekin Bay Resort Wedding Photographer Boothbay Maine : Heather + Ryan

For their wedding, Heather + Ryan wanted to have one hell of a party. They were looking to celebrate in a laid back place where everyone could have a great time, eat some good food (including some amazing desserts), keep the drinks flowing, and dance the night away by the ocean – and that my friends, they did.

Upon arriving at the ever so awesome Linekin Bay Resort, Oscar and I were greeted by Ryan and his brother who just finished taking a morning dip in the ocean which was the perfect start to the day. He hugged us warmly and by the next time we saw him and the guys they were discussing the previous night’s fun over beers and games of Cribbage in a wooded cabin with the doors wide open to let the pine scent in.

I am such a fan of places like Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Maine where a bunch of the guests and family can all stay close the weekend of the wedding by lodging in the cabins, taking kayaks out into the ocean, or maybe just sitting by the salt water pool that overlooks the bay – it’s exactly the type of place I feel right at home in and I know Heather + Ryan felt the same. Everything and everyone is so welcoming at Linekin and it feels just like the little island off the tip of lower Michigan that I grew up spending summers on which made my heart feel so happy!

After a first look overlooking the water, Heather exclaimed “Can we skip the ceremony and just get to the party?” haha! She was so ready to begin the fun and I loved it! Just that morning she’d surprised Ryan with a trip to Paris for their honeymoon, so they spent their first look reveling in each other’s fancy duds and getting excited for their upcoming adventure! These two love to travel and take in the world so bits of that wanderlust spirit were thrown into various parts of the day.

And then once the party opened up, it was ON! The dance floor was never empty, the laughter was booming, and there was no doubt in my mind that this crew was going to have a great night together celebrating.

We had so much fun with this group and to see the love Heather + Ryan shared for one another was obviously the highlight of the day.
