Mt. Monadnock Engagement Session NH Wedding Photographers : Ellie + Ben

Ellie + Ben are going to be married on her parent’s farmland that faces Mount Monadnock just as summer is starting to wind down. Their plans revolve deeply around their family + friends who they love with all of their hearts and who will be gathered at the top of the hill to welcome them in as a newlywed couple. And man, this spot in New Hampshire is stunning.

You don’t know it when you are winding through the roads that when you reach the crest of the hill her parent’s home sits on that you are going to be met with the sight of a rolling mountain in the distance. And you don’t expect that you will quickly fall in love with the ages old home her parents have restored with a living room that faces a wall of windows letting you breath in that clear mountain air – but man, you just can’t help it.

Her mom bustled around in the kitchen, Ellie led me around showing me bits of the wedding plans as they are being created, and Ben patted the family dog Hank’s head as he herded us through the house. I shared my envy about the home (and the way Ellie’s mom has decorated – I want her to come do my house!) and I got to know the life that fills Ellie + Ben up with so much joy.

To say I’m excited for their September wedding is an understatement!

Ellie + Ben ran around in the fields, talked about their plans for the future, and were the most perfect couple to be in front of my camera. When Hank the puppy wasn’t dashing through the photos making us all bust up laughing, they were showing off their sweet dancing skills or I was jumping down rocks or laying in the grass to get just the right angle of these two people in love.

As I was heading out for the evening and the skies were beginning to loom darkly off in the distance, the night wrapped up with a thunder and lightening show that lit up the skies. My drive back to the seacoast consisted of windows down, the radio off so I could hear the rumble, and the cool rain laden air to accompany me on the road.

It was one hell of a great night and I can’t wait to see all of these guys again in a little more than a month!
