Newmarket New Hampshire Elopement Photographer : Jacquie + Steve

Jacquie + Steve describe themselves as “very young recluses” who like to play board games, hang out with their two beloved pups, watch some Jeopardy, and sip scotch. It must also be noted that these two have the most playful relationship built around laughter, being positive in the face of whatever storm they encounter, and lots and lots of love.

They planned a small wedding with close family and friends (love those intimate weddings and elopements!) in the yard right outside their condo’s front porch. With leaves right in the middle of those bright orange bursts and a little chill in the air, they woke up on their wedding day excitedly looking forward to officially become one another’s forever.

On the day of, the skies were unpredictable and forecasters predicted rain so the backup plan of moving the benches to the living room facing the sliding glass doors that overlook the river below was put into place, BUT the weather behaved and instead an overcast day that makes you want to snuggle closer welcomed the day’s events!

A ceremony on the lawn, dried pasta noodles being tossed as the newlyweds recessed back up the aisle, toasting of champagne (and apple cider for the little ones…but they still drank that apple cider out of wine glasses which threw me off at first haha!), and family photos under the arch built for the day all went off without a hitch and as the guests gathered up to head to Portsmouth for dinner, the three of us took a little photo adventure to capture their new Facebook relationship status :)

We took photos at a few spots in Durham and Newmarket and when the light rain finally caught up to us as we stood next to the river, we laughed it off and kept on photographing. My kind of people!!

After they grabbed a drink at a local brewery I congratulated them again and sent the two lovebirds on their way to meet up with family for some good food and celebrating.

I love these intimate weddings that come my way every year, they fill my heart with so much joy and they remind me of Oscar + I’s perfect elopement day. I’m so honored you two invited me along to photograph your wedding and I wish you all the best!

Oh you fancy, Noodle!

Since everything took place at their home, Jacquie was Cinderella’d up in her room while she got ready for the events to begin. After her mom and best friend left to get into position, Jacquie and Noodle has this little moment of quiet together.
